Fiona Grimes

Fiona Grimes grew up looking after plenty of dogs and cats at her childhood home in rural Tipperary and decided at a young age her career path could only be veterinary. She graduated from University College Dublin in 2011 and started her career in Brittas Veterinary as an intern. Following this Fiona spent 8 years working in various places in the UK gaining skills and confidence along the way. Fiona chose to return to Ireland in 2019 and took up a position in Kildare where she could use all her small animal veterinary skills and work with wildlife which she has a huge passion and love for. Fiona decided to rejoin the Brittas team in May 2025 and move back home to Tipperary. Alongside still treating wildlife at a rescue in a Kildare, Fiona's other veterinary passions are emergency and critical care, and all things cat related. Fiona is at her happiest in nature, walking, hiking and gardening but she also lives a busy life looking after her one dog, 4 cats, 2 rabbits and a flock of much-loved hens, geese and ducks. We are so happy to have her back with us again.
